This character design focuses on a curious and adventurous girl, Skylar who hails from a fishing village and washes up along the shore or mysterious island with giants insects and other wildlife. There she discovers new creatures and magical beings and also learns more about herself as she grows up on the island. As she gets older, however, she grows tired of the island and Home calls to her.

Her awkward lanky body and large feet show that she is at an awkward stage in her life but also add to the comical side of her personality.

Creating this storyboard really brought Skylar and her Coconut Crab friend to life! I felt so proud as a storyteller to be able to create it! 😀
